Back to Shawl! A Techniques Class Fridays in September

Description: Choose a shawl and join in the fun!  Friday evenings through September we will be hanging out at my great grandmother's table as we work on these beautiful heirloom pieces that you will cherish forever, or be so proud to give as holiday gifts!  Learn to fix mistakes, cable, bobble, make short rows, or just up your beginner game a notch with new shaping techniques!  Shawls are a great place to practice skills as they have no fitting requirements and are forgiving with tension and pattern precision. Here are the shawls we are suggesting for the class.  Interested in making something different?  Let me know and I'll have it ready for class night!

Tools and Supplies: The cost of the class includes the pattern of your choice, Beverages and light snacks and expert instruction from the staff at The Bloomin' Spindle! 

What you need to know: You should know how to knit and purl and have a basic cast on technique under your belt.  If you need help with any of these, contact us.  I'm sure we can get you up to speed by class time!

What you’ll learn: Depending on the shawl you choose, we will be working on tension, picking up stitches, Short rows of all sorts, Bobbles, cables, shaping techniques and more!

Younger Knitters 16 and under are welcome to take private classes at The Bloomin' Spindle with parental supervision.  Call the store for availability.
