About the event
Whether you’re completely new to crochet or taught yourself during the pandemic, join us for Learn to Crochet. In this class we’ll start from the very beginning, making sure you have a good foundation to grow your craft on! We’ll cover how to hold your hook, how to tension your yarn, how to choose yarn, and various other important topics. You’ll learn how to chain, work a single crochet stitch. At the end of the class, you’ll have worked a simple bracelet.Description:
Tools and Supplies:
Yarn - any bulky weight yarn, wool, animal fiber or a mix of animal fiber and acrylic or nylon is recommended. Yarns with plant fibers are not recommended. A variety of appropriate yarns are available at The Bloomin Spindle. I recommend lighter colored yarns with a smooth twist – no fuzziness or mohair.
Hook – US J-10 (6.0mm)
Notions – 6-10 locking stitch markers, 1 inch button, tapestry needle, flexible tape measure and scissors
