Sock It to Me: A Sock Knitting Adventure!

Saturdays March 2 & 9 from 11am to 1pm

We'll meet for two class sessions of sock-tastic fun. During each 2 hour class, you will learn a customizable recipe to fit nearly any foot, as well as tackling the parts of sock knitting that often give knitters the heebie-jeebies: casting on a toe-up sock and fearlessly cuting in an afterthought heel. With plenty of hands-on practice and guidance, you'll be knitting socks like a pro in no time! Plus, you'll have a blast bonding with fellow sock enthusiasts. Whether you're a sock knitting newbie or a looking to expand your knitting repetoire, "Sock It to Me" is the perfect class to kick-start your sock-making journey. So grab your needles and get ready to sock it to 'em!

When you register you will receive an automated email with information about the class, including a coupon code for 10% off your yarn needed for your project * (needles excluded from discount). Prerequisites: Participants should be confident in basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. We'll help you with the rest!

Homework: none other than picking out your new favorite sock yarn!

Materials to bring along:

• 100g skein of fingering weight sock yarn (preferably a superwash wool/nylong blend)
• US1-3 circular needles (or size needed to achieve a gauge of 8 stitches per inch), 32” in circumference
• darning needle
• stitch markers

From casting on to weaving in the ends, when you purchase a class at the Bloomin' Spindle, we will support you until your sweater is complete. After March 4th, if Mondays work for you, feel free to continue to join the table those evenings. Alternatively, you can join us on Thursday KAL nights or Wednesday Stitch Nights.

We welcome young knitters 16 and under in private lessons accompanied by an adult guardian.  Please call the store for available times.
