Spun from bourette silk, BC Garn Soft Silk is climate-regulating, but isn't as cool, smooth, or slippery as many mulberry silk yarns. After mulberry silk is harvested from the main part of the cocoon, the remaining fibers are used to produce bourette silk. 
Soft Silk is dyed with AZO free and Oeko-Tex certified dyes, and is spun and dyed by a small spinning mill in India.
