Pick and choose from skill based classes to create a pair of socks!
Service Description
This is a “build your own” class series. As socks have many different techniques and preferences, this allows for you to make the selections that will best fit your skill level and the pattern you choose to work with. If you attend a cast in class, we can look at your pattern and advise you on which heel class to attend. Please take care to note that the skill you want to learn corresponds with the date that you select! The topic and dates it will be offered are listed here in the description. If you need help with your class, send an email to hello@thebloomimspindle.com CASTING ON: starting a cuff down sock Learn about using magic loop, double pointed needles, or 9in circular to knit a sock from the cuff down, and look over the main aspects of the pattern to move forward with confidence. Sept 13, Oct 11 CASTING ON: starting a toe up sock Learn about using magic loop, double pointed needles, or 9in circular to knit a sock from the toe up. Receive guidance for the increase method used and look over the main aspects of the pattern to move forward with confidence. Sept 20, Oct 18 HEEL TURN: Arrive with a sock that is at the point of the heel turn. We will create the heel flap, and pick up stitches to create the turn and gusset. Sept 27, Oct 25 AFTERTHOUGHT HEEL: Arrive with a sock that is made to include an afterthought heel. We will pick up stitches and work the heel portion together to finish the sock. Cancellation Policy
Refund Policy All private lessons are non-refundable. Reschedule Policy If your originally scheduled lesson time no longer works for you, please use the reschedule link in your confirmation email or reach out to us right away. Lessons need to be rescheduled at least 12 hours before lesson start time, otherwise they will be considered cancelled. Cancellation Policy To cancel a lesson, please email us or use the cancel link in your confirmation email. Once a lesson is cancelled it cannot be rescheduled and you will need to repurchase for a new lesson. No Show Policy No show lessons will be considered a cancellation, and therefore we will not offer any rescheduling options for that past lesson. A new lesson must be purchased to rebook. We know these sound like strict policies, but since we are a small team we schedule private lessons outside of regular store hours or we have to have another staff member cover the shop so that we can have a dedicated one-on-one time with you.
